Support to the Oil & Gas Industry

Various Projects - Iraq

To provide technical advice and supervisory oversight for a client who was conducting a 3D Seismic Survey on an oilfield in Iraq. The oilfield was heavily contaminated with UXO as a result of the conflicts since thye Iran/Iraq war. Aspects included but not limited to:

  • Operational oversight of the clearance contractor on behalf of the Client
  • Assistance to the contractor on behalf of the Client to ensure they were ready to mobilise, including training staff and procedural preparation
  • Ensuring the contractor met the clients HSE standards prior to mobilisation completion
  • Planning & execution of the ERW risk mitigation plan and ensuring the contractor met the exacting schedule and standards
  • Training of field staff for increased productivity
  • Training of operational support and GIS capability support to field operations
  • Conducting ERW Risk Awareness training to client staff
  • Provision of technical oversight and agreements on the contractors zonal risk assessments prior to permitting operations to commence in that zone 
  • Provision of an Arab-speaking security specialist to oversee the clients security contractor
